Anaconda is the first official release from composer-performers, Nathan Corder and Tom Weeks. Formed at Mills College with a shared proclivity for musical extremes, the duo treads in the spirit of Roscoe Mitchell's interactions with George Lewis’ Voyager, Yasunao Tone, and Bay Area luminaries The Hub and Possessed. Anaconda presents over fifty minutes of volatile sound structures and focused live performance, marred by austere abstraction.

Collectively, Corder and Weeks have worked and collaborated with Roscoe Mitchell, Scott Siler, Jaap Blonk, Annea Lockwood, William Winant, Alvin Curran, Makoto Kawabata, Ricardo Descalzo, Hans Koch, Walter Thompson, Vinny Golia, members of the ROVA saxophone quartet, and Henry Kaiser.
